NBC Emerges Victorious in November Sweeps

After a decade of lagging behind the other big networks, NBC has finally pulled ahead in November sweeps.
Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.8 rating, up 17% from 2011. Part of the reason for the strong showing is "Sunday Night Football" and "The Voice," but "Revolution" and "Go On" also pulled their weight.
Speaking about the news, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt stated, "Starting out this strong heading into what we know is going to be a tougher winter feels like a big accomplishment. I know we're going to drop accordingly without 'The Voice' and 'Revolution,' and obviously there are some big competitive things coming with 'American Idol' and the Super Bowl. ? In March, we'll be back in the game."
Technically, November sweeps don't officially conclude until the end of Wednesday's primetime block, but the rankings should see little to no adjustment.
In total viewers, CBS is still tops. The network averaged 10.28 million viewers in primetime, down 10% from last year.
