When a couple like Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore showcases their relationship so much over Twitter, it's big news when they stop. So when recent reports of the couple's impending breakup and Ashton's alleged infidelity were met with just a few cryptic tweets from the duo -- and a serious lack of their usual social-media PDA -- the media took that as a bad sign. But after three tense weeks, Kutcher, 33, finally broke radio silence and tweeted at Moore.
Unfortunately for those watching this drama unfold and hoping for a happily-ever-after outcome, Moore, 48, didn't tweet back.
On Monday night, Moore's much-heralded breast cancer film Five premiered on Lifetime at the same time Kutcher's show, Two and a Half Men, aired on CBS. He noticed the conflict, and tweeted good-naturedly about it.
"Big night for TV #twoandahalfmen Bears vs Lions and @mrskutcher's 5. My tivo might explode," he wrote.
Kutcher later added, "@mrskutcher good luck tonight! you should be proud."
Though Moore was on Twitter throughout the premiere of her film, she did not respond to Kutcher's message. In fact, the only time she has addressed him publicly since the scandal hit the Web to talk about their new charity, Football For Good.
Even so, it does look like things might be on the mend for the couple, who have been married for six years. Kutcher and Moore reportedly went on a Kabbalah camping trip near Santa Barbara, Calif. over the weekend. Also a good sign is the fact that Moore is still wearing her wedding ring. Let's hope these crazy kids can work things out.
