Gavin DeGraw Released from Hospital; Attack Remains a Mystery

Gavin DeGraw was released from New York City's Bellevue Hospital Tuesday afternoon after a brutal attack in the wee hours of Monday morning left him in the emergency room with multiple injuries. But the details of his assault remain a mystery.
Reps for the 34-year-old singer confirmed that he'd been discharged, Access Hollywood reports. Due to his recovery, he's canceled some upcoming concert and television appearances.
"He suffers from a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. The police are conducting an investigation of the attack," a statement released earlier in the day said. "Gavin and his family appreciate everyone's concern at this time."
Now the question is whether DeGraw will be able to recover from the fog of his head injuries to recall what exactly happened during the 4 a.m. assault in New York's East Village neighborhood. Since he was by himself at the time, police sources say they hope to rely on security camera footage for evidence that could lead to the assailants.
After his hospital release, DeGraw twittered his fans: "Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."
