Taking time out to support a promoter of peace, Will Smith took younger son Jaden to the "I WILL Be Great" Leaders Ceremony: Honoring Charles "Charlie Mack" Alston, a longtime friend and former bodyguard of the Philly native.
The father-son acting duo were at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA on Friday (July 20) to support non-violence and encourage a healthy lifestyle to area youth at the Charlie Mack Party for Peace Weekend.
Big Willie wore a checked dress shirt with a dark jacket, while the "Karate Kid" star sported a leopard printed shirt under his blazer.
The awards honor young people who have excelled academically and through community service.
"People say there's no limit. There really is only one limit. And the one limit is your ability to create what you want in this world," Will told the winners.
The founder of the event, Charlie Mack, told the audience, "You kind of never, ever pay attention to the ones who are doing great, flying high. So we want to encourage them, we want them to continue to fly high, fly at 50,000 feet."
Proceeds from the weekend will go to The Charlie Mack Cares Center. Other stars scheduled to attend are AJ Calloway, Terry Crews, Hill Harper, Duane Martin, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Rev. Run, and Sheree Whitfield.
